Maritime Broadband Radio
The Maritime Broadband Radio is developed for public, maritime applications and offers right-sized, high-speed, reliable communication for one nautical mile to multiple miles, for offshore and on-shore operations.
Capabilities
Features
Connecting Vessels
Operating on maritime, interference-free frequency, the MBR ‘Network’ can have virtually an unlimited number of radios in one radio network. Providing equal capacity to all connected radios. If one suffers a failure in the network, communication will automatically re-route via another radio. It provides voice, video, data and Internet via digital connection, making any software application available at sea.
Delivering Video
The MBR system provides high-speed video, instantly and securely. It allows a Coastguard Vessel for example, to automatically connect with surveillance or security cameras at maritime infrastructure, such as offshore platforms, aquaculture, oil and gas installations.
Unmanned Vessels
The MBR system enables high-speed, right-sized, line-of-sight connectivity that dramatically bridges the communication gap between manned and unmanned assets. This provides reliability, resilience and a host of new capabilities for autonomous operations.
Easy to Operate
All the radios find each other and form a wireless network automatically. Multiple radios can run multiple connections, features and is easy to re-configure. The radios are flexible to land-based and unmanned battery-powered rigs and vessels.
